Request a QuoteA & A Quality Cleans is an independent, fully insured cleaning business based in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
We provide regular domestic cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, holiday let changeovers, commercial cleaning and detailed appliance cleaning throughout North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
Every property is different, so we tailor our methods and service to the needs of each client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
We are a two-person cleaning team. Working together allows us to divide tasks efficiently, maintain consistent standards and manage larger or more detailed cleans effectively.
We aim to provide a friendly, dependable and professional service supported by clear quotations, detailed checklists and honest communication.
We understand that inviting cleaners into your home, holiday property or workplace requires trust. We therefore treat each property with care and respect, while being realistic about what can be achieved within the time and service agreed.
We believe that achieving a high standard of cleaning does not always require the harshest products available.
Where suitable, we choose products that are biodegradable, cruelty-free and responsibly formulated while still providing the cleaning performance required for the task.
We also aim to reduce unnecessary waste through the use of reusable microfibre cloths, washable mop heads and durable cleaning equipment wherever practical.
Please note: Eco-conscious does not mean that we exclusively use natural products or that every product we use is chemical-free.
Some cleaning tasks require specialist or stronger products to achieve a safe and effective result. Heavy grease, burnt-on carbon, mould, stubborn limescale, mineral deposits and severe staining may not respond adequately to everyday cleaning products alone.
Where stronger products are required, they will be selected carefully and used responsibly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Many of our clients share their homes with dogs, cats and other animals, and we understand that pets are an important part of the household.
We take care when working around pet bowls, bedding, toys and living areas. Product preferences, sensitivities and any concerns can be discussed before the clean begins.
Please note: Even products commonly used in homes with pets must be used according to their label instructions.
Pets may need to be kept away from freshly cleaned floors, wet surfaces or treated areas until those areas are completely dry.
Heavy pet contamination, persistent odours, urine staining, fleas and other pest-related concerns may require specialist treatment and may fall outside the scope of a standard cleaning service.
Every property is different. The size, condition, location, frequency of cleaning and services required can all affect the amount of work involved.
Some services may be charged by time, while larger or more detailed cleans are quoted individually after discussing the property and the work required.
Regular domestic cleaning starts from £20 per cleaner, per hour.
Deep and intensive cleaning starts from £25 per cleaner, per hour.
Please note: A clear quotation or pricing explanation will be provided before work begins.
If additional work is identified that falls outside the original agreement, we will discuss this with you before carrying it out.
We take a structured approach to cleaning, adapting our methods to suit the property, the surfaces being cleaned and the type of service requested.
Cleaning is not simply about spraying a product and wiping it away. Different types of dirt, grease, limescale and staining require different products, tools and techniques.
Our aim is not simply to use the strongest product available. We aim to use the right product, in the right amount, with the right method for the task.

We are based in Berwick-upon-Tweed and provide professional cleaning services throughout North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

Travel charges may apply to properties outside our usual service area. Any applicable charges will be discussed before a booking is confirmed.
